"You're not dying of fear as you think, but you are indeed a rabbit in a trap." Peter was comparing himself to a rabbit dying of a heart attack from being trapped in this metaphor, but Flagg then thinks to himself another thought upon the rabbit comparison. Flagg has the trust of the boy and is using it to fulfill his wants, his alterior motives. This quote also comes into great importance of the story because it seems to foreshadow that Flagg has done something to Thomas that will kill him eventually, and all will fall into place. Thomas is Flaggs rabbit in the trap, because even though the rabbit (Thomas), got the carrot (the crown), the hunter (Flagg), still gets the glory, the rabbit, and his trap back...
