This quote can be a strong knowing of hope for the reader. Peter has been trapped in the Needle, but he has decided it will be no more. He is going to fight back. This can be looked at as a dramatic change in character for this young man, who has normally been humble and kind. Prince Peter has now decided to take back what is his and to become King. This burst of confidence foreshadows a battle to win back his right as King, and unfortunately now not only is Flagg standing in the way, but Thomas as well. I am not sure if this adrenaline will be enough to go against his own flesh and blood, I am worried his good morals will kick in.
